THE BASICS

⇨ Who will edit my text and what will their qualifications be?
Your text will be edited by a native English speaker with at least five years of relevant editing experience, and it will then be reviewed by a senior editor. All academic and senior editors must hold at least a master’s degree. In addition, all our current senior editors have extensive experience teaching academic English.

⇨ What guarantees do you offer?
We are extremely confident about the service we provide, so we offer a 100% accuracy guarantee. If you can find even one error in your document after it has been edited and proofread, we will offer you a full revision until you are entirely satisfied. If you are an academic, we will give you a 100% refund if your paper is rejected by a journal for any reason concerning English language use. We also guarantee on-time completion or you will receive a full refund.

⇨ What formats do you accept?
We normally edit using Microsoft Word as this allows for the smoothest and most integrated editing process (see how it works). If for some reason you require a different format, we will do our best to accommodate you. Please use the contact form or email support@eiredit with your specific requirements.

THE PROCESS

⇨ What happens after I send you my text?
We will immediately check it to confirm your details. Then we will send a PayPal invoice to the email address you provided. As soon as we receive payment, we will begin work on your text and send you an email to confirm we have done so.

⇨ How long does the process take?
When you order through our academic, business, and personal service pages, you can pick a deadline period from the form. Minimum deadlines are realistic. The shorter the text, the quicker we can do it. And quality is important to us, so we won’t make deadline promises we can’t keep. However, we will consider all requests. Just use the comment box if you need a text back quicker than the options allow.

⇨ How can I communicate with my editor?
On receiving your paper, we will send you your editor’s contact details. Your editor may also contact you during the process with questions he or she has.

⇨ Can I talk to my editor after the script is complete?
Yes. If there are any outstanding issues with your text, you may communicate with your editor until they are resolved.

⇨ What if I am not happy with my editor’s work?
In the unlikely event that you are not satisfied with your editor’s work, we will assign you a new editor who will re-edit the paper.

SECURITY AND BILLING

⇨ Is it safe to upload my text?
The green SSL lock symbol to the left of the address box of your browser is your guarantee of a safe upload. Your text will not be accessible to anyone but us.

⇨ What payment methods do you accept?
At present, we use PayPal invoicing exclusively as it is highly secure and reliable (though we are currently reviewing other payment options).

⇨ Do I need to open a PayPal account to pay?
No. You can pay by following the link we send you and simply filling in your credit or debit card details. Opening a PayPal account is optional.

⇨ Do I need to pay for everything upfront?
Normally, you pay the quoted price upfront after we receive and check your text. But if you have a long text (more than 10,000 words) and you would prefer to pay by installments, just let us know in the comment box when you upload your text. We will then invoice you for 50% at the beginning of the process, and you won’t have to pay the rest until after the first half is completed. And remember you can view progress at any time.

⇨ What happens to my text after the work is complete?
Any document you send us is considered confidential. We will keep it for up to seven days after the editing has been finished and, unless instructed otherwise, we will then delete it.
